Synopsis: A 49 year old tow truck driver was southbound 1200 El Camino Real. A 72 year old female driver and her 81 year old male passenger were westbound 3100 Carmel Valley Road in a Honda CRV. The female had a green light and started through the intersection. The driver of the tow truck ran the red light and struck the Honda, broadside. Both occupants of the Honda were transported to the hospital. The female with complaint of pain and the male with serious injuries. The male passenger was pronounced at the hospital. SDPD Traffic Division responded to the scene and are investigating the collision.
