Potential PG&E Power Shut-Off

PG&E is actively monitoring a potentially widespread, strong and dry wind event midweek. PG&E is considering proactively turning off power for safety to parts of approximately  30 northern, central, coastal and Bay Area counties.

It’s important to be prepared in case this impacts our area.

If you rely on electric or battery-dependent medical technologies such as assistive technology, breathing machines, a power wheelchair or scooter & home oxygen or dialysis, it is critical that you have a plan in place for an extended power outage. Visit http://www.pge.com/pspsupdates to learn more.

While a backup power can be helpful during an outage, it can also pose safety hazards when not used correctly. Improper use can risk damage to your property, or endanger the lives of you, your family, or PG&E crews who may be working to restore power. Learn more here: https://www.pge.com/.

Make sure your email, phone number, language preference and mailing address are current for your account. So that PG&E will be able to inform you about the possible need to proactively turn off power for public safety.

Please visit PG&E for updates and information. This may or may not impact our area, but it is best to be prepared and have a plan.
