Extreme fire hazard Wednesday and Thursday. PG&E may cut power to large part of Sonoma County
There will be an increased fire risk in northern California on Wednesday and Thursday this week. PG&E may cut power to a large part of Sonoma County that MAY impact the majority of the east side of Petaluma and the Petaluma Blvd. North/Industrial Drive area.
PG&E has NOT yet determined when and where the shutoffs may occur but at their attached link they’ve identified potential areas that may be affected at some time Wednesday through mid-day Thursday. They will most likely make the decision tomorrow morning. Once cut, it may take several days to restore power.
Attached is information from the County “Joint Information Center” in both English and Spanish. Petaluma is involved and monitoring closely. We will provide updates when we learn more.
