Deputies investigated a fatal motorcycle vs. vehicle collision at 5th Street/Del Rosa Drive

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: 5th Street and Del Rosa Drive, Highland
VICTIM: 27-year-old male, resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY:
On October 2, 2019 at 12:24 a.m., a major traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle occurred on 5th Street at the intersection with Del Rosa Drive in the City of Highland. The motorcycle rider suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. Paramedics from the Highland Fire Department and American Medical Response (A.M.R.) performed CPR on the rider at the scene and he was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The motorcycle rider succumbed to his injuries at the hospital a short time later.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision and no one was charged with any crimes.
