Wilmington Police have arrested a Claymont man on gun and drug charges.

On September 30 at approximately 8:05 p.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force were in the 700 block of North Washington Street when they observed 31-year-old Artezz Finney from Claymont.  Officers were aware that Finney was wanted and took him into custody without incident.  He was found to be in possession of a loaded .380 caliber handgun and approximately 1 gram of marijuana.  Finney also had several capiases out of Justice of the Peace Court 11 and the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas. 

Finney was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (2 counts)
• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
• Possession of Marijuana
