SUSPECT: Jonathan Castellanos Herrera, 22-years old, Milpitas resident
VICTIM: 54-year old male, Milpitas Resident
On October 8, 2019 at 3:30 P.M., officers responded to the 100 block of North Temple Drive on the report of a stabbing that had just occurred. Arriving officers found the victim with a stab wound and performed life saving measures. The victim was transported to a local hospital but despite the efforts of first responders and medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries.
At 4:06 P.M., officers located Jonathan Herrera and determined he was responsible for the stabbing. He was arrested without incident in the area of Del Vaile Court and North Hillview Drive. Information obtained from the public assisted in the quick capture of Herrera.
Jonathan Castellanos Herrera was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for 187 PC – Homicide and 243(b) PC – Battery on an Emergency Medical Technician.
