Public Safety Power Shutoff Update
The PG&E public safety power shutoff (PSPS) in Solano County started today 10/09/19.
Many traffic lights will be inoperative during the PSPS event. Please treat these intersections as four-way stops. The vehicle that arrived to the intersection first has the right-of-way. If two vehicles arrive at the intersection at roughly the same time, the driver of the vehicle on the left must give way to the driver of the vehicle on the right.
Winds are expected to peak overnight, increasing risk of fires. Please keep a watchful eye on all generators. While we don't recommend the use of candles, if you do use them do not leave them unattended.
We have reports that some residents who lost power have regained it this afternoon. After speaking with PG&E representatives, they have not officially begun the re-energization process but are fine tuning the impacted areas.
Solano County officials continue to work with PG&E. Information will be shared via Alert Solano and the County’s social media platforms.
