Full Notification

There was a second alarm fire at University Retirement Community. Davis Fire, UCD Fire and Davis Police Department were all on scene. It was reported to be a small fire between the ceiling and the floor above the skilled nursing area. All residents were evacuated safely into another portion of the building and there were no reported injuries.
Firefighters extinguished the small fire and are still on scene. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental but the Davis Fired Dept will investigate further.
Deputy Chief Paul Doroshov is currently assigned as the acting PIO on this incident.
