Trunk or Treat: The Lawrence Township Police Department will sponsor their annual Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 24 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Lawrence High School Parking Lot. Please click here for more information.
Shredding Event: The Lawrence Township Public Works Department will be sponsoring a Shredding Event on November 9, 2019, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. at our facility on Bakers Basin Road. See flyer for more details.

Second Half Sewer Bills: Due by October 25, 2019, with no further grace period.
2019 Flu Clinics: The Health Department is holding three flu clinics this year. The first clinic is scheduled for October 17 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at the Municipal Building Lower Level Conference Room. Please click here for more information.
Solar Construction at Municipal Complex - Over the next three months, there will be on-going construction at the Municipal Complex to install solar carports. We will try to limit any disruption and inconvenience, but there may be times when certain sections of the parking areas are temporarily closed. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Upon completion, it is anticipated that 90% of our electrical needs at the Department of Public Works and the Municipal Complex will be generated by solar power.
Growth and Redevelopment Awards
The keynote speaker for this year's event will be Hee Young Kim an Assistant Professor in the Management Department at Rider University since 2004. She earned her PhD from the Stern School of Business, New York University and has worked in the investment banking field for Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and MBK Partners.

Cat License Renewal Month: September was cat license renewal. If you have not yet done so, please stop in the Clerk's Office to get a license for your pet. Any cat over the age of 7 months old is required by law to be licensed. Proof of current rabies certification and proof of spaying or neutering (if applicable) must be presented when a license is purchased by mail or in person. The fee is $11.00 if spayed or neutered and $14.00 if not spayed or neutered. Click here for the application. Health Alert - Vaping: The New Jersey Department of Health is investigating multiple reports from healthcare facilities of severe lung illness in people who report vaping. Cases in New Jersey have been primarily reported among persons between the ages of 16 to 45 with no significant past medical history. The Department has sent a statewide health alert to health care providers and local health departments following recent reports of severe lung disease in people who have used vaping products. Road Work:
- Franklin Corner Road: Mercer County continues their milling and resurfacing project on Franklin Corner Road between Route #1 and Princeton Pike. Click here for full details.
2019 Leaf Collection: All residents should be aware of the leaf collection program that will begin on November 4, 2019. Please click here for further details.
The Township recently revised the brush collection regulations effective January 1, 2019. (Ordinance No. 2307-18)
NEW YARD WASTE COLLECTION RULES
Brush will continue to be picked up according to the zone schedule. Please refer to the Zone Map below.
- Brush should be placed at curbside no earlier than the weekend prior to the scheduled pickup week
- Yard waste shall be placed along the front yard curb of the property which it has originated for collection.
- Collection will be limited to brush and tree prunings.
- Tree trunks and limbs in excess of 6 inch diameter will not be collected.
- Limbs should be cut in lengths of 3 feet or less.
- All limbs and brush should be placed at the curb in an orderly manner.
- The size of the pile may not be larger than 3 feet high and must be placed not greater than 4 feet from the edge of the pavement. The pile shall not exceed 12 feet in length.
- No wire, nails or metal should be left in the materials.
- Diseased material and firewood will not be collected and disposed of by the Township. This material must be disposed of privately.
- All tree stumps are the homeowner’s responsibility. The Township will not collect tree stumps.
BRUSH WILL NOT BE PICKED UP IF THE ABOVE RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED.
All commercial landscapers shall be registered annually with the
Township of Lawrence by March 31st.
There is no brush collection during November and December, leaf collection only.

The week of October 14 is Zone 2.
If you have any yard waste, you may take it to the Ecological Facility on Princeton Pike between the hours of 7:30 am and 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The Ecological Facility is now open on Saturdays.
