BPD is asking all vehicle owners to lock it, hide it or remove it. Don't become a victim of theft from your vehicles.

The Bedford Police Department is investigating several reports of theft's from LOCKED motor vehicles over this past weekend in which windows were smashed. These thefts occurred in the South River Road and Back River Road areas. Targeted locations were retail businesses, fitness centers, and dining establishments. Vehicles were targeted due to the fact that the thieves believed valuables, including purses, were left in the vehicles while the owners conducted business inside these establishments. The Bedford Pollice Department is reminding all owners to remove valuables from their vehicles while unattended. If for some reason this can't be done it is recommended to secure the items in a locked trunk or other lockable compartments outside of the view of the vehicle's passenger area. Remember.
