Active Shooter Drill at Alliant Energy, Wisconsin Rapids Industrial Park

Today, law enforcement officers from several local agencies along with Paramedics will be practicing our response for an active shooter type of incident. It will begin around 8:00am this morning and continue throughout the afternoon until as late at 4:00pm. Keep in mind, this is only a drill.

This will take place at Alliant Energy, 2710 Jefferson Street in the Wisconsin Rapids west-side Industrial Park. There will be many Police/Fire/EMS emergency vehicles in the area. We have participants playing the different roles during the scenarios today, and will be practicing many times, so if you work or travel in that area and repeatedly see emergency vehicle, it is part of the response for the active shooter practice drill.

Remember, this is only a drill. There is no actual danger.
