The Village would like to remind you to check your mailbox and ensure it is properly secured before winter comes. Prepare your mailbox  by tightening screws and ensuring the post and box are secure enough to endure large amounts of thrown snow. If the mailbox or post moves when shaken, the box or post likely needs to be repaired or replaced.

The Village of Paw Paw will replace a mailbox/post only in the event a village snow plow  makes direct contact with the mailbox; not when the box is knocked over by snow or slush that is thrown by the snow plow.

Prepare for winter now by ensuring your mailbox can withstand the force of thrown snow. Please contact the Department of Public Works with any questions or concerns.
