The District has been made aware that this scam is making the rounds again. Please contact CVWD at 818.248.3925 if you have any questions in regards to your bill. The Crescenta Valley Water District does not make payment demands or shut off water for late payments on nights weekends or Holidays.
Customers have informed the District that there are calls being made from 818-771-2212 stating that they are “LADWP or the Water Department” and want to collect payment over the phone for a past due bill in order to prevent the water from being disconnected.
Please note that this is a valid LADWP number but this is NOT LADWP contacting you.
CVWD does call when your bill is late. The number should display as 818-248-3925. CVWD will not "push" you to make a payment over the phone. But, if you have any doubts on the authenticity of the call, please hang up and contact the District at 818-248-3925.
