3rd Precinct Commander Captain A. Costa and Community Service Officers M. Silva and R. Barbosa met with community members last week during the October Captain's Meeting.

Captain Costa addressed community concerns and discussed crime statistics with area residents and business owners. Members of the Essex County Sheriff's Department were also on hand to address the area's homelessness initiative.

As a result of last month's meeting with Lincoln Park residents, Officers Silva and Barbosa addressed complaints concerning debris at an area property. Summonses were issued in conjunction with Code Enforcement and clean up began immediately.

Officer Silva also participated in an Austin Street clean up in response to illegal dumping complaints by residents and businesses.
