Smoke from the Kincade Fire is working its way into the San Ramon Valley and expected to linger over the weekend.

This has also resulted in a low air quality situation and a Spare the Air Day being announced.

Residents are encouraged:
1. To remain indoors if you suffer from respiratory ailments
2. Limit strenuous outdoor physical activity while air quality is low
3. Limit use of gas-powered devices when possible

In addition, the National Weather Service has stated that high winds are expected through the weekend and have extended the Red Flag Warning.

Because of the dry conditions and high winds, fire danger is high, so we ask that anyone who is grilling outdoors or using lawnmowers/other machinery outside please be extremely cautious.
