On 10/25/19 at 7:45 P.M., the Janesville Police Department was notified of a threat to Marshall Middle School. The threat was made through social media and displayed a picture of a firearm. The juvenile user of the account was located and arrested for Terrorist Threats. Officers confirmed the firearm was a facsimile. The juvenile was held at the Juvenile Detention Center after admitting to sending the message.
Officers from the Janesville Police Department and the Janesville School District jointly worked to ensure the safety of the students at Marshall Middle School and the community.
