Full Notification

The Middle Township Police would like to advise the public of an incident that occurred on October 25 at a local Trunk of Treat event.  The Police Department was notified that a parent was checking their child's candy bag after attending Trunk or Treat at the Family Success Center in Rio Grande and found a bag of what is believed to be heroin.

There is only one reported incident, at the time of this release, and it is actively being investigated by the Middle Township Police Patrol and Major Crimes Units.  We would like to advise parents and guardians to check their children's candy bags thoroughly and contact the police if  they discover anything suspicious, harmful or out of the ordinary.
