* WHAT...Northeast winds increasing to 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 60 mph. Locally higher gusts to 80 mph possible downwind from the highest ridgetops, particularly late tonight and early Sunday morning.

* WHERE...Elevations above 1500 feet in southeastern Humboldt, southern Trinity, and interior Mendocino counties. Highest gusts downwind from South Fork Mountain and the highest ridges of eastern Mendocino County.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to midnight Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
