**UPDATE** #LASD Homicide Detectives Investigating Found Human Remains, Santa Clarita
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing their investigation into the found skeletal remains to an unknown individual that were discovered on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at approximately 11:30 A.M. in the area of Sand Canyon Road and Thompson Ranch Dr. in Santa Clarita.
Detectives have learned that Deputies assigned to Santa Clarita Station responded to the location regarding an informant who had found skeletal remains. Upon their arrival, they located a Public Works employee who discovered large bones that appeared to belong to a deceased human being.
Based upon the results of the preliminary investigation, it appears that the remains are at least 1 year old, and the individual did not die as a result of the Tick Fire.
There is no further information at this time.
The investigation is still ongoing.
