Public Safety Power Shut Off - PG&E At 5:30pm today (10/26), PG&E confirmed it will begin to de-energize parts of Madera County TOMORROW October 27th. Power is expected to be de-energized around 6:00am 10/27. Restoration estimates are unknown at this time. The locations for the outage currently include: * Oakhurst * Bass Lake * North Fork * Coarsegold * Ahwahnee * Outlying mountain areas To support customers in the affected areas, PG&E will open a Community Resource Center located at the Madera County Sheriff’s Substation (42867 Liberty Dr. Oakhurst). The center will be open on Sunday 10/27 at 8a.m for the duration of the outage. Restrooms, bottled water, electronic-device charging and air-conditioning will be provided. The MCSO substation located in Oakhurst will be staffed 24 hours a day during the power outage. Patrol staffing will be increased in the affected areas. Land Line phones may be impacted by the PSPS- residents in the affected area who do not have cell service can drive to the substation in case of an emergency.
