Public Safety Power Shut Off - PSPS Outages in Effect Overnight
Public Safety Power Shut Off - PG&E UPDATE: 10/27 2130- De-energization is expected to remain in effect through the night. Current conditions suggest an all clear for weather between 10pm and 1am, with PG&E patrols of power lines to begin at daybreak. De-energization will remain in effect until patrols by PG&E are completed (tomorrow at the earliest). Clearing the lines can only happen upon the conclusion of the wind event and during daylight which could take a significant amount of time (the majority of a day or up to 48 hours) As a result of PSPS outages, Bass Lake Unified and Yosemite School Districts will not have school tomorrow. We have additional patrol deputies working throughout the night. Due to the current wind conditions County crews have responded to downed trees and PG&E has responded to downed power lines. The Community Resource Center at 48267 Liberty Dr in Oakhurst will reopen tomorrow morning at 8am. The Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line is staffed 24/7 at (559) 675-7770. As always, we will provide more information as soon as it’s available to us.
