PG&E PSPS Update- 70% of power restoration completed
Public Safety Power Shut Off - PG&E Spoiled Food Waste Disposal Sites- In an effort to support residents who have been impacted by the PSPS outages, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services is partnering with Madera County Public Works to provide disposal locations for spoiled food waste resulting from de-energization. Starting at 2pm today (10/29), residents may bring spoiled food waste to the MCSO Substation at 48267 Liberty Dr in Oakhurst. Residents may also take spoiled food waste directly to the North Fork Transfer Station at 33699 Road 274, North Fork. ID and proof of residence will be required. Services at both locations are limited to •spoiled food waste• resulting from PSPS outages. Sites will be monitored, and anything outside of those guidelines may be refused. There was damage discovered on some of our infrastructure in the higher elevations that needs to be repaired prior to re-energization. Crews are diligently working on restoration again today, however, some may not be restored until 1:00pm tomorrow (10/30) barring any further repairs from damage.
