POWER STILL OUT FOR MOST OF FAIRFAX
WEDNESDAY 10/30/2019 9:AM
UPDATE ON POWER SHUT OFF
The PSPS that began this past Saturday has ended. There are no planned new PSPS (yesterday’s PSPS was cancelled)
PG&E as of this morning has advised that while yesterday they were having issues with their Substations, that appears resolved and they are continuing to “inspect” power lines for areas still without power. Once completed power will be restored.
Areas of Fairfax are still without power. Basically everything west of downtown.
The Kincade Fire could impact Marin County. If winds push the fire towards transmission lines supplying Marin, PG&E would need to de-energize those lines and Marin County would again experience a countywide outage. PG&E is monitoring the fire and weather closely but cannot give any detailed information on timing or probabilities.
