Three (3) suspects were arrested for burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.

LOCATION: 15100 block of 7th Street, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Edward Michael Serpa, 33-year old transient
James Joe Chavous, 32-year old Victorville resident
Zak Villegas, 24-year old transient
VICTIM(S): 7th Street Pawn
SUMMARY: On October 29, 2019, a citizen called Sheriff’s Dispatch to report they saw three males behind 7th Street Pawn and believed it to be suspicious. Deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the location to investigate the call.
Upon arrival, deputies located three subjects on Loves Lane, behind the pawnshop. The subjects, later identified as Edward Michael Serpa, James Joe Chavous, and Zak Villegas, had in their possession three generators and a garden trimmer. All items were confirmed to have been taken from the pawnshop, without permission.
Serpa, Chavous, and Villegas were arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.
