The Monterey Park Police and Fire Depts along with the National Weather Service advise of "extreme" Red Flag Warning/High Wind Watch for Los Angeles County through Thurs 10/31. Strong Santa Ana Wind event is likely with sustained winds at 20-30 mph and gusts of 50 to 70 mph.
Impact: conditions will be favorable for extreme fire behavior and rapid fire growth, which would threaten life and property. Strong winds could cause downed trees/tree limbs and localized wind-caused power outages in areas prone to Santa Ana winds.
