The owner and driver of a vehicle located in the Forked Deer River off of Lower Brownsville Rd. has been located and is safe.
On October 30th, Jackson Police along with other First Responders from the community responded to the 800 block of Lower Brownsville Road for a vehicle that was found in the Forked Deer River. Once the vehicle was removed from the river, responding officers did not discover anyone inside. Therefore, First Responders continued their efforts of trying to locate the driver/owner of the vehicle by checking other areas of the Forked Deer River.
Today, October 31st, Investigators made contact with the driver/owner of the vehicle. According to the driver, he lost control of the vehicle negotiating the road in the inclement weather conditions.
