On Friday, November 1, 2019, at approximately 7:36pm, the Middleton Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle theft that had just occurred in the parking lot of Pick ‘N Save, 6800 Century Avenue, in the City of Middleton.
Seconds later, Middleton Police officers located the vehicle abandoned on a nearby street. Assistance was requested from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Verona Police Department K-9 unit to begin a search for the suspect(s).
Middleton officers located a 14-year old male juvenile in the area. The juvenile was in possession of the stolen vehicle keys and admitted to the theft. After additional investigation, the juvenile was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Reception Center for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Owner’s Consent, Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
