Synopsis: A 47 year old female was northbound in the number two lane of 9900 Camino Ruiz. She was driving a 2009 silver Lexus 350. A 20 year old female for an unknown reason stepped into traffic in the number two lane. The female faced oncoming traffic and waited for the 47 year old female to strike her. The 20 year old female suffered two fractured femurs and major head trauma. She was transported to the hospital by Medics. Traffic Division arrived on scene and is conducting the investigation. This collision is not DUI related or a hit and run.

Synopsis: 4 pedestrians were in a marked cross walk with flashing yellow cross lights. A Cadillac CTS was northbound and failed to yield to the pedestrians and struck two of the four pedestrians. The driver remained at the location. A 36 year old male sustained a broken leg and non life threatening injuries, a 34 year old female sustained a broken pelvis and life threatening injuries. Both were transported to the hospital by medics. DUI was not a factor. SDPD's Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
