Shots fired after traffic crash Rawsonville south of Bemis - No injuries and suspect is in custody. 
At approximately 4:45pm this afternoon, Sumpter Police were dispatched to the area of Rawsonville south of Bemis on reports of shots fired following a traffic crash. Prior to officers arriving on scene the alleged shooter had fled on foot near the Augusta Woods mobile home community but was quickly located and taken into custody.
There is no ongoing threat to area residents contrary to some Social Media claims.
MSP and Van Buren DPS were also on scene in response to the incident.
