Man hit by train has been identified. Thank you for helping share the story. It helped locate his family and friends.

Earlier today the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office was able to identify the victim in the train/pedestrian incident from earlier this week. The 32 year old male out of Chicago was a student at the University of Michigan Law School. We are not releasing his name at this time as we allow family to be notified. Thank you for your help in sharing this story as it was key in helping make the connection to his friends and family. 

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is requesting your assistance identifying the victim involved in the fatal pedestrian/train crash that occurred on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. The incident took place around 11:40 a.m. in the area of Dexter Chelsea Rd. and Lima Center Rd. In Lima Township. 

The deceased is a white male, approximately 30 years of age. He is 6’3”, 254 pounds, with brown eyes and short cropped balding brown hair. He has a 10” scar on his abdomen. At the time of the incident he was wearing black cloth jogging pants, black Tek zippered sweatshirt, blue University of Michigan “M LAW” t-shirt, size 13 black Nike shoes, and dark grey HEAD brand gloves.
