Summary:
On November 8, 2019, an off-duty officer with the Cypress Police Department was arrested by the Garden Grove Police Department for alleged sexual assault. The off-duty officer has been employed with the Cypress Police Department since 2008 and was assigned to the Operations Division as a patrol officer. The officer has been placed on administrative leave pending completion of an internal affairs investigation. Due to the nature of the allegations, the Garden Grove Police Department has requested that officer’s name not be released at this time. The Cypress Police Department is cooperating with the Garden Grove Police Department, and referring all media inquiries to their Press Information Officer.
