GTPD Community Bulletin: GTPD "Thanks for Giving " food and coat drive

Around the world, more than enough food is produced to feed the global population—but more than 820 million people go hungry each year. After steadily declining for a decade, world hunger is on the rise, affecting 11 percent of people globally. There were an estimated 775 million undernourished people in 2014 – a record low - but that number increased to 820 million in 2018. 37 million people face hunger in the U.S. today — including more than 11 million children and nearly 5.4 million seniors. Hunger knows no boundaries — it touches every community, including our own.
Want to help make a difference?  Then join #GTPD this November as we collect donated canned food and coats. Now until November 1st until 21st we will have donation boxes in three locations: GTPD Headquarters, the Mayor's Office and Public Works.

If you or if you know a family in need this holiday season reach out to the Gloucester Township Community Relations Bureau at [email protected] for further assistance and resources available.
