...ACCUMULATING SNOW, BRISK WINDS AND MUCH COLDER TEMPERATURES TODAY...

* WHAT...Rain developing during this morning, will change to snow during late morning and early afternoon, then diminish during early evening. Total snow accumulations around 2 inches are expected by early evening. North winds gusting as high as 25 to 35 mph today could cause some minor blowing and drifting snow this afternoon and early evening especially north of I-70.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central and southeast Illinois.

* WHEN...From noon today to 9 PM CST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions developing this afternoon and early evening. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the late afternoon commute.
