Robbery at Jack In The Box
On Saturday November 8th, at approximately 2206 hours, Morgan Hill Police were dispatched to the Jack In The Box located at 17015 Condit Rd on a report of a robbery in progress. Officers quickly responded to the scene and arrested a male subject exiting the restaurant. The suspect, later identified as 41 year old Octavio Diaz, was taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, officers learned Diaz entered the business and demanded money from employees. The suspect then assaulted one of the employees and forced him to open the cash register. Diaz simulated a weapon in his waistband. Witnesses ran out of the business and called 911 to report the incident. The suspect was unable to open the cash register and was confronted by officers as he attempted to leave the business. Diaz was armed with a utility knife at the time of the incident. No one was injured during the incident. The suspect was later booked into Santa Clara County Jail on multiple felony charges.
