The Ashland Police Department advises residents to expect heavy traffic delays throughout the Ashland area Saturday, November 16 associated with the football game between Randolph-Macon College and Hampden-Sydney College.

Traffic will be most heavily congested from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., especially on England Street (Route 54). Henry Street will be closed to through traffic from College Avenue to Smith Street on the R-MC campus from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Game traffic will be parking in and around the college campus and in satellite parking lots north of the campus. Police and campus safety personnel will be assisting in traffic direction to these areas.

Motorists not planning to attend the game may wish to consider Ashcake Road as an alternative.
