America Recycles Day & Household Hazardous Waste Event
On Saturday, November 16, 2019, the Town of Abingdon Sustain Abingdon Committee and Keep Southwest Virginia Beautiful will hold an America Recycles Day/Household Hazardous Waste event. This event will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Abingdon Police Department parking lot (425 West Main Street, Abingdon). There will be FREE on site e-waste recycling and FREE document shredding. This year we are also accepting Household Hazardous Waste. (Some restrictions apply-visit our Facebook page.) Donations needed this year are gently used shoes and supplies for the local animal shelter (food, treats, cat litter, blankets, bleach & detergent); these things are greatly appreciated.
