Public Works
Projects—
- Pearl Street Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program Improvements –The contractor has removed and replaced several sections of defective sidewalk at no cost to the City. Backfilling and landscaping will continue as the weather allows. Street lights have been ordered, and all of the concrete bases and wiring have been installed. The street lights are expected to arrive and be installed before Thanksgiving.
- 2019 Road Resurfacing Program –Driveway repairs along Chickaloon are scheduled for Friday November 15th. Once the driveway repairs are finished, the project will be 100% complete. Several other miscellaneous items will need to be completed in the upcoming weeks such as guardrails, shoulder work, and restoration. Intermittent lane closures will be necessary for construction of those items with an anticipated completion date before Thanksgiving.
