On the evening of Friday, November 15, 2019, the Arroyo Grande Police Department was made aware of a social media post involving a 17 year old male juvenile who made criminal threats of violence to be carried out at the Arroyo Grande High School.  The picture in the social media post included the male juvenile posing with what appeared to be a 1911 handgun.  Officers worked throughout the evening and also networked with Arroyo Grande High School personnel with the investigation in an effort to identify the juvenile suspect, an Arroyo Grande resident.
 

The suspect was arrested during the early morning hours on Saturday, November 16, 2019, and booked at the San Luis Obispo Juvenile Services Center on the charge of Penal Code section 422 - Criminal Threats.  A replica 1911 BB gun was also seized at the time of arrest.
