Attention Rutgers Community:
The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) is investigating a robbery which was reported to have occurred on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at approximately 12:00 PM on Plum Street near Hamilton Street.
In this incident the victim, who is affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that while walking on Plum Street an unknown male approached on foot, made a verbal demand for personal property and displayed a knife. The victim immediately fled the area and the perpetrator also fled in unknown direction. The victim was not physically injured during the incident.
The description of the perpetrator is limited at this time.
The New Brunswick Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the NBPD Detective Bureau at 732-745-5217.
