Synopsis: P2, a 79 year old male was driving a 2008 silver Lexus SUV westbound El Cajon Blvd from Menlo Avenue. P1, a 63 year old female pedestrian was walking southbound mid block crossing El Cajon Blvd when she was struck by the SUV. The female was removed from under the vehicle and transported to the hospital by medics. The female passed away at the hospital. No DUI or drugs are suspected. Traffic Division responded and are investigating the collision.

Synopsis: P1, a 20 year old male was in his 2009 Smart car stopped at the red light, southbound Marian Way at the intersection with Linda Vista Road. The light turned green and he proceeded to make a right turn onto Linda Vista Road. P2, a 25 year old male, had a pedestrian cross light when he started to cross southbound across Linda Vista Rd in a marked crosswalk. The 20 year old male did not see the pedestrian in the crosswalk and hit him. The pedestrian sustained a fracture to the C6 vertebrae. The 20 year old was not injured and not impaired. Traffic Division responded to the scene and are investigating the collision.
