Sandbags available for Chula Vista residents at Public Works Center only tonight and tomorrow. 
Rain is predicted to begin today in the early evening and continue through Thursday morning. The City of Chula Vista is planning accordingly.
Chula Vista residents may obtain up to 10 free sandbags at the Public Works Center located at 1800 Maxwell Road. Sandbags will be available today until 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proof of residency is required. Sandbags will NOT be available at any Fire Stations during this time.
As a reminder to all drivers, if your wipers are on, your headlights must be on. And please do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.
