The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Riverside County in southern California... Northeastern San Diego County in southwestern California...

* Until 800 PM PST.

* At 504 PM PST, NWS Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to bands of showers moving across the mountains and Coachella Valley to Borrego Springs. This will likely cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Thunderstorms could produce up to 0.50 inch of rainfall per hour.

* Some locations that will likely experience flooding include... Indio, Palm Springs, Coachella, Borrego Springs, Hwy 78 Between S2 And Borrego Springs Rd, Anza, Mt San Jacinto State Park, Idyllwild-Pine Cove, Cathedral City and Palm Desert.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SAN DIEGO, CA ... RIVERSIDE, CA
