City of Somersworth Announcement

City of Somersworth announces temporary lane closure on Blackwater Road at Old Rochester Road (Rte. 16B) for and intersection surface repair to occur on Thursday November 21, 2019.

Pike Industries will be repairing the eastern transition between Old Rochester Road and Blackwater Road on Thursday November 21, 2019. Work crews will begin at approximately 7am and complete the repair at approximately 2pm. Work involves milling off pavement and placement of new asphalt in the transition area. The repair will need to cool after being placed and compacted, and will necessitate closing the affected segment of Blackwater Road to all traffic for several hours. To that end, the segment of Blackwater Road from Laurel Lane to Old Rochester Road will be temporarily closed from approximately 7am to 2pm. All traffic in both lanes will be detoured down Laurel Lane during this time. Local traffic will be allowed access in and out of this area as necessary. Construction signage and flaggers will be present during this repair. Use caution when traveling in this area.
