Rain and Heavy Winds in the Forecast
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), we’ve got rain and heavy winds in the forecast for tomorrow through Wednesday morning. The NWS has issued a High Wind Watch Advisory in effect from 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, until 4 a.m. Wednesday, November 27. High winds and mild rain is expected.
It is always a great time to prepare for winter storms. If needed, free sandbags are available to Sunnyvale residents and can be picked up at 221 Commercial Street 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, self-service is available anytime.
As a friendly reminder, please do not call 911 for power outages as this will tie up our emergency lines for any life-threatening emergencies, instead please call PG&E at 800-743-5002 or visit them online at https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/outages/alerts/alerts.page?WT.mc_id=Vanity_outagealerts.
