A suspicious device found in the brush was determined by Sheriff's Bomb/Arson Investigators to be a hoax device

LOCATION: 33500 block of Yucaipa Blvd, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Unknown
SUMMARY:
Deputies responded to a suspicious device – a PVC pipe with green wire sticking out of one capped end – that was found in brush alongside the McDonald’s restaurant.
Deputies requested the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Bomb and Arson Detail. Bomb Technicians rendered the device safe and, through investigation, determined it was a hoax device, made to look like a real pipe bomb.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no credible information any person or business was the target of the threat at this time.
