WINTER STORM – SNOW EMERGENCY PARKING BAN
Trash/Recycling Notice
Parking Ban Schedule - While in effect, No parking is permitted on Any City Streets.
Starting on Sunday, December 1, a citywide parking ban will be in effect this evening, beginning at 9:00 p.m. and conclude on Monday, December, 2 at 7:00 a.m.
The citywide parking ban will resume on Monday, December 2, at 9:00 p.m., and conclude on Tuesday, December 3, at 7:00 a.m.
Due to the expected length of the storm and depending upon the total snowfall the parking restrictions may change based on updated weather forecast the City receives. Check the City’s website at www.somersworth.com; e-blasts to subscribers and the Parking Ban/Snow Information Line at 603-692-9131 for latest information.
Residential City Trash and Recycling Collection Services
The storm may slow the collection of curbside trash/recycling services on Monday and Tuesday residential routes. Check the City website for updated information on delays or cancellations.
Stay Safe - Be Prepared
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Somersworth from 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1 until Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 a.m. The current forecast anticipates Somersworth and the surrounding area will receive 8 to 12 inches of snow over the course of the storm. Travel is expected to be difficult as severe winter weather conditions are expected. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
