* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut and southeast New York.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Mixed precipitation early this evening changes to mainly rain, then back to snow late Monday morning into afternoon. There is uncertainty with the timing of the changeover on Monday. These amounts potentially could be higher should the transition to snow occur earlier. In addition, there is the potential for a heavy band of snow just to the west, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Should this band move over the advisory area slower then expected, snowfall totals could be a few inches higher than forecast.
