Storm Update - Garbage Collection Follow Up:

At this time please know that Byram Township officials are working collectively with Blue Diamond to address garbage collection in those areas affected by temporary road closures from last night’s storm. 

Due to collection laws, dumping procedures and time constraints that affect the garbage collection process, Blue Diamond will most likely not be able to return this afternoon to some of the roads affected by the storm damage.

Blue Diamond is aware of the concerns that residents will have and thus they are continuing to work with us to determine if they will be able to send a crew back tomorrow to complete the weekly garbage collection.  Since other Blue Diamond communities were also affected by the storm track as well, they are facing many logistical issues impacting their scheduling and collection in the various service areas.
 
To that end, we kindly ask that if your garbage has not been collected today that you remove the cans from the roadway this evening and place them back out for collection in the morning.

As of this time, Blue Diamond has advised us that they will try their best to reschedule a collection for tomorrow.  However, they will be unable to definitively confirm a second collection right now and they will follow up with us tomorrow morning to offer further direction on the process.

Storms of this magnitude often place heavy burdens on services to the community and though we understand that it can be inconvenient to the resident, we truly appreciate your cooperation as we work diligently with Blue Diamond management to attempt to coordinate a follow up garbage collection.
