A victim located their stolen trailer for sale on the internet & notified police of the location - suspect in custody

INCIDENT: Possession of Stolen Trailer
LOCATION: Yucaipa Blvd / Interstate 10, Yucaipa
SUSPECT: Sergio Sanchez, 22 years old, resident of Mentone
SUMMARY:
Deputies responded to a report from resident that they had located their stolen trailer for sale on the internet and arranged to meet the suspect at a business in what the suspect believed was going to be sale of the trailer.
The suspect arrived with the trailer but, for unknown reasons, drove away without meeting the victim. The victim followed the suspect into the 12000 block of Vista Crest in Yucaipa and blocked in the suspect, who attempted to flee by hitting the victim's vehicle and possibly other parked vehicles. The suspect was unable to get away and was taken into custody at the scene by deputies.
During a check of the area, deputies were unable to confirm any parked vehicles were struck by the fleeing suspect. If your vehicle was struck in the area last night, please contact the Yucaipa Police Department for a report.
The stolen trailer was recovered and returned to the victim and Sanchez was booked for possessing stolen property and for an outstanding narcotics related warrant.
