Homes in WFB entered - 2nd suspect arrested

Over the past two nights, several homes in Whitefish Bay were entered.  Some of the homes were entered through unlocked doors.  One subject involved was taken into custody and we are continuing our investigation to determine the identity of others involved.

*UPDATE*

During the afternoon of 12/10/19 a second suspect of these home entries was arrested in the City of Milwaukee. Both suspects are adult males from Milwaukee. Property taken during these entries was recovered and the suspects will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office for criminal charges.

Even though suspects have been arrested for these crimes the Whitefish Bay Police Department strongly advises all residents to remain vigilant and take the appropriate measures to keep their residences and vehicles secure.

In cold weather do not leave unattended vehicles running to warm them up; these are easy targets for thieves.

Exterior doors and windows on homes including garage service doors should be secured. All vehicles should be kept locked and valuables inside kept out of sight. Leave exterior lights on at night. Video surveillance systems and video doorbells work as crime deterrents and can be used to assist with identification and apprehension of those involved.

If you see something suspicious please contact the Whitefish Bay Police Department immediately by dialing 911.
